Description:
Take a thrilling adventure bath on Saona Island, the jewel of the southern tip of the Dominican Republic. Immerse yourself in its indescribable beauty, surrounded by pristine white sand beaches and crystal-clear Caribbean waters. Also known as the "paradise on earth," this island is a natural escape that is part of the East National Park, where stunning landscapes, lush flora and fauna, and turquoise waters filled with coral and tropical fish await you. On this tour, we invite you to immerse yourself in the best of Saona with our snorkeling and diving pack, where you can explore the colorful underwater world up close and discover the surprises hidden in its natural pools. Later, you can relax under the sun, take a stroll on the beach, or take a refreshing dip in the turquoise waters. A day full of fun and adventures awaits you on Saona Island, the perfect destination for those looking to disconnect and enjoy nature at its finest! Please note that this thrilling diving experience requires a minimum of two people!
Itinerary:
1.You will be picked up from the hotel in Bavaro-Punta Cana where you are staying, and we will then transfer you to the town of Bayahibe in private minivans.
2.From Bayahibe we will board the catamarans to set sail towards Saona Island. Before arriving at our destination, we will make our first diving immersion in a sunken ship at no more than 14 meters deep. Here, you will be able to observe the fauna and flora inside and outside the ship, a place with beautiful corals and abundant marine life.
3.Once on the island, the companions of the divers will descend to the beach where they can snorkel in the reef that is right in front, at a depth of 1 to 4 meters. Meanwhile, the divers will continue until they reach the large reef, where they will have the second dive, enjoying fauna, flora, corals, and sea sponges at a depth not exceeding 16 meters.
4.After the dive, the divers will disembark on the beach to join the rest of the group and enjoy a good time together under the sun, swimming, and taking photos. Later, we will go to the Caribbean buffet to taste a delicious meal with drinks included.
5.In the afternoon, we left Isla Saona heading towards the mangroves, crossing the Catuano Canal, from where we can observe them. Later on, we arrived to Parque Nacional del Este, to take a dip in the largest natural pool in the Caribbean and admire and photograph the giant starfish, toasting to this unforgettable moment with a national drink (Ron Brugal, beer and soft drinks).
6.Finally we return to the starting point (Bayahibe beach), to get on the transportation and take you back to your original hotel.
