Description:

Saona Island Plus: An Unparalleled Adventure in Caribbean Paradise Discover Saona Island, a piece of heaven on Earth that is part of Cotubanamá National Park. This incredible destination has been chosen as one of the best dream beaches in the Caribbean by the prestigious magazine "Caribbean Travel & Life". Located off the coast of La Altagracia, Saona Island is a true tourist treasure thanks to its beautiful beaches and natural wonders that will take your breath away. With an area of 110 km², this small island is home to a population of approximately 500 inhabitants, with only 69 fishermen's houses who mainly make a living from fishing. In Saona, you will find two picturesque villages: Mano Juan and Catuano. Mano Juan is a charming fishing village with wooden houses and Catuano Beach, where a navy base is located. Additionally, the island is home to various species of sea turtles, such as hawksbill, loggerhead, green turtle, hawksbill and leatherback. Among the birds that you can appreciate during your visit are wading birds, beach gulls, crowned pigeons and the endangered green parrot. Saona Island is also the habitat of fascinating animals such as manatees, rhino iguanas, fishing bats and dolphins. Departing from Bayahibe and crossing the Catuano Canal, you will arrive at Saona Island, where the most popular excursion among tourists visiting the area is located. Come and be part of this unforgettable adventure in Caribbean paradise!

Itinerary:

1.You will be picked up at the hotel in Bavaro-Punta Cana where you are staying, from where we will head to the town of Bayahibe; we will arrive approximately one hour later. There, we will board speedboats and start our excursion to Saona Island.

2.Halfway through, we stop at a natural pool where we can swim and see giant starfish. Here, we will make the typical Dominican toast of the drunken song and embark once again towards Saona Island.

3.Shortly before noon we disembarked on Saona Island to enjoy its beaches and visit the picturesque markets of the place until lunchtime, when you will enjoy a free buffet with typical Caribbean creole cuisine.

4.Afterwards, we will have free time to enjoy the beach until it is time to return and board the Catamaran heading to Bayahibe, on a trip with Dominican songs and dances to liven up the atmosphere, and of course, with plenty of drinks.

5.Upon arrival to Bayahibe, the buses will be waiting to take us back to the hotel.
